Hereditary Angioedema International (HAEi) today announced that registration for its 2012 HAE Global Conference is now open via http://eventus.trippus.se/hae-2012
Details of the conference program schedule, location and social activities are also available on the site. Patients and care givers who will have difficulty funding their air tickets are eligible to apply for a travel grant which will be awarded, in principle, on a first come, first serve basis.
The conference theme is "Advocacy & Access" and one of the purposes of both the Patient Track and the Scientific Track will be to discuss how to secure access to life saving therapies and access to diagnosis on a worldwide basis.
The Scandic Hotel Sydhavnen in Copenhagen will host the conference between Thursday 17 May and Sunday 20 May. It is the first true global conference for HAE patients, care givers, health care professionals and industry representatives conducted and driven by the patient community through HAEi.
hae day :-), the first international awareness day for hereditary angioedema, is taking place on Wednesday 16 May – the day before the 2012 HAE Global Conference. The event aims to raise awareness of hereditary angioedema among the general public and medical community, with the aim of creating an environment in which there is better care, earlier and more accurate diagnosis and knowledge that HAE patients can lead a healthy life.
