A new Facebook application to help raise awareness of HAE and encourage testing and diagnosis was launched last week by ViroPharma Incorporated. The HAE Family Tree app enables people with HAE to connect and share educational resources with family members so they can better understand how the disorder may affect their family. 

For every HAE Family Tree created on Facebook, ViroPharma will donate 25 USD, up to 5,000 USD, to the Unites States Hereditary Angioedema Association (HAEA) in support of hae day :-). In March, Dyax Corp also donated to the HAEA in support of hae day :-) after corporate fundraising activity at the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Annual Meeting in Florida.  

Everyone can make a donation to hae day :-), no matter how big or small. The money will be used to support the HAEi national member organizations that help make a difference for HAE patients every day. In addition, details of events can be posted on haeday.org – some great plans are already in place to fundraise as well as raise awareness of HAE.
