Two new resources to support awareness raising efforts for hae day :-) are now live. A PDF poster that you can adapt with details of your events is available for download, while the US Hereditary Angioedema Association (HAEA) has kindly allowed haeday.org to display impactful watermarked photos of HAE patients from their image repository.
The poster features space for the date, time and place of an hae day :-) event – along with relevant contact information. There is also the option in the top, right-hand side to change the date of hae day :-) into your own language. New events are being submitted to haeday.org each day and recent additions include a raffle, a Walk-a-Thon and a fundraising poker game. Making plans of your own to mark hae day :-) is a great way to spread awareness of HAE and raise money for HAEi national member organizations. Along with the poster, you can tell the world about your plans by using the event upload form on haeday.org.
In addition, watermarked images demonstrating the effects of an HAE attack on patients are available for viewing. Provided by the patients themselves, the photos are intended to support the main objective of hae day :-) – to raise awareness of Hereditary Angioedema among the general public and medical community. Reprinted with permission of www.haeimages.com, the visuals are samples but you can follow the link to view the whole collection and make purchases for use in presentations, scientific publications and other materials. All proceeds go to support the patient advocacy and educational programs of the US HAEA.
With hae day :-) less than two weeks away, please keep checking haeday.org for further updates, and make sure you have sent your smile around the world.
